Aston Villa are exploring a move to bring Real Madrid forward Endrick to Villa Park on loan when the January transfer window opens, according to sources. The 20-year-old Brazil international is on Unai Emery’s radar as the possibility grows that Madrid will allow him to leave temporarily in search of regular football.

Endrick has featured for only four minutes across all competitions this season. Although Jose Mourinho initially intended to keep him in the first-team squad, an injury disrupted his early progress and he remains well down the pecking order. Real Madrid are understood to be preparing to sanction another loan, following the model of last season when Endrick spent time at Lyon and made a strong impression.

Villa have already added Nicolas Jackson on loan from Chelsea, yet concerns remain over the depth and quality of options up front after the departure of Ollie Watkins. The club had looked at a possible loan for Endrick in the summer—former Villa scout Mick Brown confirmed interest at the time—but were unable to complete a deal. With Madrid now weighing up his future, that interest is expected to be revived.

Transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke noted on Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast that a January availability would attract several clubs. “He’s struggled for minutes under Jose Mourinho this season… It does seem that Aston Villa are very much interested in Endrick if he becomes available, and they could look to sign him in January. Real obviously allowed him to go out on loan last year where he really caught fire for Lyon and maybe they’ll be open to doing that again… I think it’ll be a pretty open race for his signature.”

Tottenham and Manchester United are among the other Premier League sides understood to have shown interest, so any deal would likely face competition. Much depends on Real Madrid’s final decision, but Villa are positioning themselves as one of the leading contenders should the Brazilian become available.
